Born on September 26, 1962, as Suyash Panday, Indian actor Chunky Panday has worked in more than 100 movies in Bollywood film industry. He made his Bollywood debut in 1987, with the movie ‘Aag Hi Aag.’ He rose to prominence with movies such as ‘Tezaab’ (1988), ‘Paap Ki Duniya’ (1988), ‘Khatron Ki Khiladi’ (1988), ‘Ghar ka Chiraag’ (1989), ‘Zahreelay’ (1990), ‘Rupaye Dus Karod’ (1991), ‘Vishwatma’ (1992), ‘Aankhen’ (1993) and ‘Parda Hai Parda’ (1992). His most successful films were between 1987 and 1994. Following the new wave of actors like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan, Panday’s career went into a slump. Between 1995 and 1997, Panday tried his luck with Bangladesh films and appeared in six films all of which were commercially successful. He returned to Bollywood in 1997 working in low-budget movies. In 2003, his minor supporting roles in movies such as ‘Qayamat: City Under Threat,’ ‘Don: The Chase Begins Again’ and ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’ (2006), again earned him a spot in Bollywood. In the 2010s, Panday has appeared in mostly comedic roles. His best-known comedic role is that of Aakhri Pasta in the ‘Housefull’ movie franchise. Panday is married to Bhavana Panday and the couple has two daughters including actor Ananya Panday.
